About the Role We're looking for a hands-on Sr. Test Automation Engineer to join our team supporting a growing SaaS platform. This is a hybrid role spanning Functional and Automation testing. You'll own quality across the full testing lifecycle — from analyzing requirements and designing test cases, to building and maintaining automation with Playwright, to validating APIs and backend data. This is a role for someone who thrives on ownership: you won't just execute test plans, you'll help shift quality left — catching issues early, before they ever reach development. You'll work in a fast-paced Agile environment, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and DevOps to embed quality into every stage of the sprint. How You Will Contribute Functional Testing Review and analyze product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for SaaS based platformDesign, execute, and maintain functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory test casesLog, track, and retest defects using defect tracking toolsWork closely with Product, Engineering, Designers and DevOps teams in an Agile environment Automation Testing Develop, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworksAutomate UI, API and end-to-end test scenarios using Playwright and SeleniumPerform cross-browser and cross-environment testingEnsure automation coverage for critical SaaS workflowsAnalyze automation results and maintain stable, reliable test suites API Testing Perform REST API testing to validate integrations and backend servicesAutomate API test cases, including positive, negative, and edge scenarios using Playwright and PostmanValidate API responses, data contracts, and error handling CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)Support continuous testing strategies for faster SaaS releasesAnalyze pipeline test failures and provide root cause analysis Database & Data Validation Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend and transactional dataSupport test data creation and environment validation Nice to Have Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeterExperience or familiarity with AI-powered testing tools (e.g., self-healing tests, AI-based test generation or analytics)Hands-on experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing tools such as BrowserStackExposure to Accessibility Testing Who You Are Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field5+ years of software QA experience covering functional, regression, integration, and system testing across multiple platformsStrong experience in test automation using Playwright and Selenium, including building, maintaining, and stabilizing automated test suitesHands-on experience with API testing and automation using tools like Playwright and PostmanStrong SQL — joins, aggregations, data validation against back-end systemsFluency with Jira (defect tracking, Agile boards) and Confluence (documentation)Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and how QA operates inside a sprint cadenceWorking knowledge of cloud platforms — Microsoft Azure preferredSharp analytical and problem-solving instinctsSelf-driven — comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasksStrong attention to detail and a proactive lens on qualityClear communicator who works well across developers, PMs, and product What We Offer Competitive compensation – We believe in rewarding great work with fair, competitive pay. Salary Range - $100,000-150,000 Note: We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
