SENIOR SALESFORCE DEVELOPER / ARCHITECT
Location: Brampton, Ontario
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – minimum two days onsite per week
Contract Term: October 19, 2026, to October 15, 2027
Hours: 35 hours per week
Extension Option: Up to two additional 12-month terms
POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer and Architect with at least six years of experience delivering complex Salesforce solutions.
The successful consultant will have extensive experience with Salesforce application architecture, data, integrations, custom development, configuration, deployment, and administration.
This position combines hands-on development with architectural and technical leadership responsibilities.
The consultant will deliver a new application on an established enterprise Salesforce platform supporting multiple active applications.
The work will be completed within an Agile Scrum team using two-week sprints and established software development lifecycle practices.
Strong experience with Salesforce Public Sector Foundation or Vlocity is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Salesforce Architecture and Development
Gather and analyze requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and technical teams.Translate business and functional requirements into effective technical solutions.Architect scalable, secure, maintainable Salesforce solutions aligned with platform standards and industry best practices.Perform hands-on development and implementation using Apex, Lightning components, Visualforce, and declarative tools.Configure Salesforce using Flows, Workflow Rules, Validation Rules, and other platform capabilities.Develop modern, responsive user interfaces within Salesforce Lightning Experience.Use Salesforce Public Sector Foundation or Vlocity capabilities to address business requirements, including document generation.Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to align designs with overall platform architecture and governance standards.Security, Data, and Integrations
Implement appropriate access controls, sharing rules, and security configurations.Ensure solutions meet applicable data security and compliance requirements.Design and execute Salesforce data migration and data-cleansing activities.Support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise applications.Apply Salesforce data-modeling and integration best practices.Testing and Release Management
Lead technical design sessions and code reviews.Write unit tests and perform code debugging and troubleshooting.Design and execute manual and automated test plans and test cases.Ensure developed solutions meet quality, reliability, security, and performance expectations.Perform code migrations using established release-management processes.Support sandbox management, deployment strategies, and change-management activities.Technical Leadership and Documentation
Produce comprehensive documentation covering technical designs, customizations, configurations, integrations, and development processes.Provide technical leadership in diagnosing and resolving complex issues.Recommend innovative solutions and Salesforce platform improvements.Deliver demonstrations, user training, and knowledge transfer to technical and business teams.Stay current with Salesforce releases, capabilities, and industry trends.MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum six years of practical Salesforce solution-delivery experience.Experience delivering medium- to large-scale, complex Salesforce projects.In-depth knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, security, configuration, customization, and integration capabilities.Strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and security considerations.Hands-on experience with Flows, Workflow Rules, and Validation Rules.Experience developing solutions within the Salesforce Lightning framework.Advanced Apex and Visualforce development experience.Hands-on experience with Salesforce Public Sector Foundation or Vlocity, including the PSF data model.Experience with Salesforce data modeling, migration, and data cleansing.Experience writing unit tests, performing code reviews, debugging issues, and supporting solution quality.Experience producing comprehensive Salesforce technical documentation.Minimum five years of experience working in Agile development environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong stakeholder communication, presentation, and technical-facilitation skills.MANDATORY CERTIFICATION

The consultant must be available for the full assignment.A minimum of two onsite workdays per week is mandatory.The first and final contract days must be attended onsite.Occasional travel between nearby client locations may be required.The consultant will work seven hours per day and 35 hours per week, with a one-hour unpaid lunch.
