Automation and Integration Developer

Role Description We are seeking an Automation & Integration Developer to join our IT & Data team and build the systems that power our charter business. This is a hands-on development role for someone who writes production-quality code, builds reliable integrations between systems, and designs automations that improve how the business runs. You will work across our stack, developing on our CRM platform, connecting internal and external applications, and automating manual processes. Analysis and reporting are a smaller part of this role, and we lean on modern AI tools to handle much of that work efficiently. What matters most is how you think, how you solve problems, and how clearly you communicate. While we work within an established technology stack, we look for people who can evaluate a problem, choose the right approach, and execute it accurately and reliably. Responsibilities · Design, build, and maintain integrations between internal and external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON · Build and maintain automations that streamline business operations (workflow automation tools, serverless functions, scheduled jobs) · Develop and extend functionality within our Salesforce environment (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, validation rules) · Identify opportunities to improve, modernize, and simplify existing systems and processes, and execute on them reliably · Own build work end to end, from scoping through deployment and maintenance · Support the data layer that feeds reporting, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity across integrations · Build and maintain reports and dashboards as needed, using modern AI tools to handle analysis efficiently · Contribute to the development of AI-driven solutions for the business Qualifications · 2-4 years of hands-on development experience building integrations, automations, or applications · Experience developing on a major CRM or low-code platform such as Salesforce; if your experience is on a comparable platform, you should be able to ramp on Salesforce quickly · Practical experience building system integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON · Strong coding fundamentals in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, Apex, SQL, or similar) and the ability to learn new technologies quickly · Solid understanding of modern system architecture, including how CRM platforms, cloud services (such as AWS), APIs, and data flows fit together · Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems and select the right approach · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders · Genuine fluency with AI and large language model tools, and a habit of using them to work more efficiently · Self-driven and adaptable, comfortable owning work end to end on a small team · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience Preferred Qualifications · Hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning Web Components) or Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Administrator) · Experience with AWS or other cloud services · Experience staging data into a SQL database (such as Azure SQL) for reporting · Exposure to IT security fundamentals, including access control, identity management, and secure API practices · Experience in travel, aviation, transportation, or other high-volume operational environments Key Skills · Systems integration (REST APIs, webhooks, JSON) · Automation (workflow tools, serverless functions, scheduled jobs) · Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Flows) · AI-assisted development and problem-solving · Clear communication and stakeholder collaboration Monarch Air Group is a rapidly growing and evolving company, and we are excited for you to be part of a team dedicated to delivering world-class service, reliability, and safety to our clients.
