Description

Do you enjoy building and developing cloud platforms that need to perform when it matters? We do. We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join Vincit’s Commerce team and work across a diverse portfolio of digital commerce customers. In this role, you’ll combine hands-on cloud engineering with problem-solving and customer collaboration. The work ranges from developing and improving cloud environments to continuous maintenance, upgrades, and the occasional fire that simply needs to be put out. You’ll work with several customers rather than being tied to just one environment, so the days and challenges can look quite different from each other. What is the job like, really? Our Commerce customer portfolio includes both smaller customers with focused environments and larger enterprises with more complex platforms. Depending on the customer and project, you might be improving an existing cloud setup, automating infrastructure, solving a production issue, planning a migration, or helping a development team figure out the best way forward. Here’s a Snapshot Of Your Key Responsibilities ☘️ Building and developing cloud environments – designing, automating, and improving scalable cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP ☘️ Keeping environments running smoothly – handling maintenance, upgrades, patches, migrations, and the occasional production issue when something needs attention quickly ☘️ Supporting development teams – working closely with developers to make platforms reliable, secure, observable, and easy to work with ☘️ Infrastructure as Code and automation – building repeatable infrastructure and reducing manual work with tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK ☘️ Security and access management – taking care of cloud security, permissions, and access controls as part of everyday platform work ☘️ Monitoring and performance – improving observability, identifying bottlenecks, and making sure environments perform reliably ☘️ Supporting solution design and pre-sales – contributing your technical expertise to customer discussions, proposals, architecture choices, and cost estimates when needed What are we looking for? You’ll do well in this role if you enjoy solving practical technical problems and taking ownership of the environments you work with. You’re comfortable switching between planned development and maintenance work and situations where something unexpected needs to be solved quickly. You also enjoy working with others. You’ll have your Cloud Platform colleagues around you, but much of the day-to-day collaboration happens with software developers and customers, so being able to explain, discuss, and solve things together is important. Your background 🎯 Around 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) 🎯 Experience designing, operating, and developing cloud environments, including infrastructure, networking, security, and automation 🎯 Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK 🎯 Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments 🎯 Understanding of cloud and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, observability, reliability, and security 🎯 Experience working with customers and/or software development teams 🎯 Good problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership when things don’t go quite as planned 🎯 Strong communication skills in English (Finnish is considered an advantage) It’s a Strong Plus If You Have 🎯 Experience with digital commerce platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud, Commercetools, Spryker, Shopify or Adobe Commerce 🎯 Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog or Dynatrace 🎯 Experience contributing to solution design, proposals, cost estimates, or other pre-sales activities 🎯 Relevant Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud certifications What's in it for you?
