Who You Are You are an Jr. Software Engineer who will perform all activities associated with the design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control of software for scientific/engineering applications. What You’ll Do As a JR Software Engineer, you will: Create prototypes and perform internal testing of software productsRespond to software discrepancies against documented requirements and provide resolutionDetermine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirementsGenerate program design language and code based on mission standardsGenerate/update project documentsAnalyze and evaluate systems, devising computer specifications for scientific/engineering applicationsEncode, test, debug, and install operating programs and proceduresCollaborate with engineers in the design, development, and utilization of scientific/engineering electronic data processing systems softwareProvide analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software for products such as utility software, development software, and diagnostic softwareParticipates in the development of engineering test strategies, devices and systemsPerforms all other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully obtain a CI PolygraphBA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 0-3 years of related experience, or AA in related field and 3 years of related experience; in lieu of formal education, 10 years of related experience; specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail. Basic Compensation $94,300.00-$115,200.00 This range is for the El Segundo, CA area only. $94,300.00-$115,200.00 This range is for the Chantilly, VA area only. $90,100.00-$110,200.00 This range is for the King of Prussia, PA area only. $90,100.00-$110,200.00 This range is for the Columbia, MD area only. $81,900.00-$100,100.00 This range is for the Beavercreek, OH area only. $77,900-$95,200.00 This range is for the Clearfield, UT area only. $81,900.00-$100,100.00 This range is for the San Antonio, TX area only. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s work location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
