Senior SharePoint Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior SharePoint Developer with strong hands-on expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, TypeScript, and Power Platform.
The ideal candidate will work closely with business analysts, solution architects, technical leads, and end users to understand business requirements and deliver scalable, secure, and modern SharePoint-based collaboration solutions.
This role requires strong development and troubleshooting capabilities across the full application lifecycle, from requirements and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and BRDs and translate them into technical designs, development tasks, and solution components.Design, develop, and enhance enterprise collaboration solutions using SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.Develop custom SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts, extensions, and reusable components.Build modern SharePoint solutions using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.Develop and configure SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, pages, content types, metadata, permissions, and reusable solution components.Customize SharePoint Online using out-of-the-box capabilities, Power Platform components, and approved scripting approaches.Integrate SharePoint solutions with Power Apps, Power Automate, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, and other enterprise applications.Participate in solution architecture, development, unit testing, QA, deployment, release, and post-production support activities.Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes and enhancements within agreed timelines.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution design documents, deployment guides, configuration documents, SOPs, release notes, and support handover documentation.Follow secure coding practices, development standards, version control processes, and release management procedures.Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams and provide technical input for effort estimation, sprint planning, and project execution.Support junior team members and contribute to technical problem-solving and delivery quality.Stay current with developments in Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, SPFx, React, and Power Platform, recommending improvements where appropriate.
Required Experience & Qualifications
7–10 years of overall IT development experience.Strong hands-on experience in SharePoint development and Microsoft 365 collaboration solutions.Strong experience with SharePoint Online, Office 365/Microsoft 365, and modern SharePoint development.Hands-on experience developing SPFx web parts and extensions.Strong development experience with:ReactTypeScriptJavaScriptHTML5CSS3jQueryExperience developing REST API-based integrations.Good understanding of SharePoint site architecture, lists, libraries, metadata, content types, search, permissions, page templates, and reusable components.Working experience with Power Apps and Power Automate for business process automation and workflow development.Experience with Visual Studio Code, Git, GitHub, or Azure Repos.Understanding of package management, debugging, and standard development tools.Experience documenting technical designs, deployment procedures, release notes, and support processes.Strong troubleshooting skills across SharePoint Online, SPFx, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365.Ability to work independently and deliver tasks within committed timelines.Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with business users, analysts, architects, and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Microsoft Graph API and Microsoft 365 integration patterns.Experience with PnP PowerShell and SharePoint Online Management Shell.Experience with scripting for SharePoint provisioning, deployment, and administration support.Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure services relevant to SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions.Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD concepts, authentication, users, groups, and permissions.Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub.Knowledge of branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.Understanding of responsive web design and modern UI development.Knowledge of accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility.Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.Understanding of incident, change, application support, and release management processes.Technical Skills
