Senior SAP Developer | Hybrid Netherlands About the Opportunity Role: Senior SAP Developer Hours: 36–40 hours per week Location: Netherlands (Hybrid) Start date: 1st September, 2026 Duration: 31st May, 2027, with possibility of extension Contract: Employment-based; freelance/ZZP not available For one of our clients, a large organization with a complex international IT environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Developer to strengthen its SAP development and application management capabilities. The organization is continuing to modernize and improve its enterprise applications and business processes. SAP plays an important role within the wider application landscape, supporting a range of operational and administrative processes. You will work across both new development and existing application support, helping ensure that SAP solutions remain reliable, maintainable, and aligned with evolving business requirements. Key Responsibilities As the Senior SAP Developer, you will: Develop and configure new functionality within an established SAP environment.Design, develop, and enhance applications using ABAP, RAP, Fiori, and SAPUI5.Maintain and improve existing SAP functionality.Investigate and resolve technical issues and application incidents.Develop and maintain integrations with other applications and systems.Analyse existing functionality and identify opportunities for improvement.Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.Work closely with functional specialists, business stakeholders, and other IT professionals.Contribute to application modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives.Help improve development, support, and deployment processes through automation.Balance operational support with the delivery of new functionality.Contribute to technical standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing. Requirements We're looking for someone with: 5+ years of experience with SAP Fiori / SAPUI5.5+ years of experience with ABAP RAP.Strong hands-on experience with ABAP development.Experience with SAP application development, configuration, and support.Experience with SAP integrations; SAP CPI experience is an advantage.Good understanding of modern SAP development principles.Experience working with complex enterprise application landscapes.HBO-level professional and intellectual capability or equivalent experience.Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably Scrum or Kanban.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.A proactive and collaborative approach to solving problems and delivering improvements.
