Backend Software Engineer

Software Engineer| $180- 240,000| Python & Event Driven Architectures | New York Albert Bow have partnered with an AI platform, that are transforming how investment professionals work! Their clients span private equity, investment banking, private credit, and alternative asset management. They've built an "intelligent deal workspace" that helps dealmakers accelerate sourcing, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and investor relations through agentic AI. The Role As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for building the server-side architecture that powers their platform. You'll work directly with their Client Success, Product, and Engineering teams to develop robust, scalable solutions that handle the demanding workflows of institutional investors. Key Responsibilities Server-side architecture: Design and implement backend logic for data processing, integration workflows, and agentic AI orchestrationDatabase design & optimization: Create and maintain efficient database schemas (MongoDB, Redis) with a focus on data integrity and securityAPI development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs that enable seamless communication between frontend, backend, and third-party integrations (Datasite, Grata, etc.)What You Bring Advanced Python proficiency with production-grade code qualityRESTful API development experience designing, building, and maintaining APIsMongoDB and Redis expertise — comfortable working with both document and in-memory data storesDistributed systems & multi-threading knowledge — strong experience with event driven architectures, Rabbit MQ, Kafka, Pub Sub.Interest in LLMs and generative AI — familiarity with how language models are integrated into applicationsProblem-solving ability and collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment Location: New York, NY (Hybrid — 3 days/week in office) Up to $250,000 + bonus structure
