Join our technology team supporting the Liquidity Platform with our Commodities and Global Markets business. Our team supports the platform that delivers capital and liquidity reporting for Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets business. In this role you will help build and shape our site reliability engineering practices as the team’s first dedicated Site Reliability Engineer. You will improve reliability, monitoring and automation across a cloud-based platform, while working across application support, platform operations and software engineering to ensure the service runs smoothly and meets daily delivery deadlines. You learn fast, take ownership, and use AI tools effectively, including critically reviewing and validating their output for accuracy What You Offer Hands-on experience across Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, platform or software engineeringStrong troubleshooting skills across applications, infrastructure and data, including problems no runbook coversProgramming experience with Python, with an interest in automation and reliability engineering. You're comfortable picking up an unfamiliar codebase and changing it safely, with your work going through code review.Experience with Kubernetes and containers, ideally EKSSolid AWS and Linux fundamentals, with working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL or AuroraFamiliarity with monitoring and alerting, and clear views on what's worth measuring and alerting on in a complex platform We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
