About This Role
The Cloud Solutions Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and solutions to ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
This role supports both project-based initiatives and ongoing operations, providing technical expertise in cloud architecture, migrations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
The Cloud Solutions Engineer works closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions aligned with business and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud infrastructure and solutions across Microsoft Azure and hybrid environmentsConfigure and deploy cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security solutionsSupport cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and new cloud deploymentsDevelop and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architecturesEnsure cloud solutions align with security, performance, availability, and business requirementsMonitor cloud environments for performance, availability, capacity, and operational healthTroubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, including escalationsPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsMaintain cloud service availability and reliability in line with operational expectationsImplement and maintain cloud security controls, including identity and access management, security policies, and network controlsSupport vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security hardening initiativesEnsure adherence to organizational security policies, cloud best practices, and industry standardsMaintain accurate cloud architecture documentation, configurations, and technical diagramsIdentify opportunities to improve cloud performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiencyContribute to cloud automation, process improvements, and standardization effortsCollaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure, application, security, and systems initiativesProvide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders and clientsCommunicate effectively on cloud architecture, technical issues, risks, and recommended solutions
Skills & Knowledge
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and infrastructureExperience with Microsoft AzureKnowledge of cloud networking, compute, storage, identity, and security servicesExperience with Microsoft Entra ID and cloud identity and access managementUnderstanding of hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises infrastructureKnowledge of cloud security principles and best practicesExperience with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and diagnostic toolsExperience with cloud automation and Infrastructure as Code tools is considered an assetSolid troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong understanding of infrastructure and systems administration principlesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and documentation skills
Education & Experience
Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field3–5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or a similar roleExperience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud environmentsExperience with Microsoft Azure cloud platformsExperience supporting cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructure environmentsExperience with cloud security and identity managementRelevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent) are preferred
