Frontend Developer

Job Title: Frontend Developer Location: Hybrid (2 or 3 days), Toronto, Canada Experience: 5+ Years Job Type: T4 Contract Rate: CAD 45 to 55 per hour Role Summary We are hiring for a Frontend Developer to work on a software platform focused on modern web development and cross-platform experiences. The selected candidate will build solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and NPM, while collaborating closely with engineering, QA, and design teams. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality, secure, and stable software.Build and maintain web-based solutions that support cross-platform development and experiences.Participate in software design and code reviews.Develop task estimates, evaluate risks, and identify dependencies to support project planning.Work collaboratively with software engineers, QA professionals, and designers across Toronto and other engineering locations.Contribute to discussions around software architecture and design.Support the development of solutions that deliver a high-quality customer experience.Work as part of a collaborative engineering team to achieve shared technical and product goals. Must-Have Skills 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role.Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Hands-on professional experience developing production software with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot as part of a daily development workflow.Professional experience with JavaScript and TypeScript for client-side web development.Hands-on experience with React and Redux frameworks.Experience working with Node.js and NPM.Experience with web-based technologies, concepts, and development constructs.Strong interest in software architecture and design.Experience with Git and GitHub for source control.Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering and cross-functional teams.Commitment to continuous technical and professional development.Commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience developing web applications using modular and componentized approaches.Experience working with Agile methodology.Familiarity with test automation tools and strategies.
