Operating across AI infrastructure, high-performance compute, cloud platforms and large-scale technology environments, Sharon AI delivers scalable, secure and reliable infrastructure for demanding AI, ML and HPC workloads. The Role As the Platforms Development Team Lead, you'll lead the team of Full Stack Software Engineers responsible for designing and delivering the user-facing and backend systems that enable customers to access and operate on our platform. You'll combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, setting direction across the full technology stack, from frontend interfaces to backend services and integrations, with a strong focus on identity, authentication, billing and secure platform access. This is a high-impact role working closely with platform, infrastructure and security teams, and with senior engineering leadership, to deliver scalable, secure and reliable SaaS capabilities. This role is suited to an experienced engineer who has grown into technical leadership, enjoys mentoring others, and wants to shape both the architecture and the people delivering cloud-native products at scale. Key Responsibilities Set technical direction and architecture standards for the Platforms Development team across frontend and backend layersLead the design and delivery of scalable APIs and backend services supporting platform functionality and customer workflowsOwn the roadmap for authentication and access control systems (OIDC, SAML, OAuth2) and secure platform accessOversee integration of billing, subscription management and usage metering capabilitiesGuide the architecture and operation of applications in cloud-native, multi-tenant environmentsPartner with infrastructure, platform and security teams, and senior leadership, to align technical direction with business prioritiesLead code and design reviews, and ensure quality across the team through testing, code reviews and CI/CD practicesMonitor system performance, reliability and security, driving continuous improvement initiativesManage, mentor and develop a team of Full Stack Software Engineers, including career development, performance reviews and skills growthLead hiring, onboarding and capacity planning for the Platforms Development teamSet sprint priorities, allocate work and manage delivery timelines against roadmap commitmentsFoster a collaborative, high-performing team culture, and resolve technical and interpersonal issues as they ariseCommunicate progress, risks and technical trade-offs to senior leadership and stakeholdersChampion engineering best practices and coding standards, and drive continuous improvement across the team Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or Technical Lead in cloud-based or SaaS environments, with demonstrated progression into a leadership role6-10+ years of experience in full stack software engineering, including at least 1-2 years in a technical leadership or team lead capacityStrong frontend development experience using modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular or similar)Solid backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Go or similar technologiesExperience designing and building scalable APIs and distributed systemsHands-on experience implementing authentication protocols such as OIDC and SAMLStrong understanding of OAuth2, JWTs and secure session managementKnowledge of application security best practicesDemonstrated people leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching and performance managementStrong stakeholder management, communication and prioritisation skillsAbility to balance hands-on technical contribution with team leadership responsibilitiesExperience building and operating production SaaS applicationsExperience with CI/CD practices and modern software development methodologiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) Multi-tenant SaaS architecture experience, familiarity with enterprise identity providers and SSO platforms, and experience integrating billing or subscription systems are highly desirable. Exposure to event-driven architectures or messaging systems, an understanding of SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar compliance frameworks, and prior formal people management experience (direct reports, performance reviews) are also highly regarded.
