Senior Java Integration Developer

About the Project: Our client is a leading international bank with a focus on wealth management. The project aims to enhance and expand an existing Financial Services Cloud application by introducing new functionalities and integrations. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-impact solution in the financial sector. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot. Implement and optimize SQL queries for data integration. Work with integration frameworks such as Apache Camel. Design, build, test and support secure, robust, scalable integration solutions within a financial environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application enhancements. Share knowledge and mentor team members in clean coding principles.Create and maintain documentation. Requirements: Proficiency in Java (21+) and Spring Boot. Knowledge of Apache Kafka (or alternatives). Experience with SQL and database management. Familiarity with integration platforms (experience with Apache Camel is a plus), microservices, and event-driven architectures. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver results with limited day-to-day supervision.Language Skills: Professional proficiency in Latvian and English (both written and spoken, at least B2 level) is required for effective communication with local and international clients, partners, and colleagues, as well as for working with technical documentation and other professional materials.Willingness to contribute to a culture of clean coding and continuous improvement.Ability to coach & mentor less experienced developers and participate in code reviews.Openness to learning and collaborating across different parts of the stack (web, mobile, backend). Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Hands-on experience in software design, development and testing using AI-assisted tools is highly desirable. The team actively uses GitHub Copilot and Windsurf.Experience with Node.js/TypeScript is a plus.
