About the role We're looking for a Data Scientist to join our Partner Optimization team within FinTech Products. You'll use statistical analysis, experimentation, and modeling to help us grow partner value: reactivating partners, reducing payment friction, and shaping how we expand into new territories and payment models. This is a role where your work directly drives business decisions: which partners to target, how to measure payout reliability, whether a new pay out model is working, and what the data says about where to invest next. Responsibilities: Analyze partner payment behavior to identify reactivation opportunities and measure what's workingDesign and interpret experiments that guide our partner payment strategyBuild models and data stories that inform decisions on payout reliability, new market expansion, and payment model rolloutCollaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to turn insights into actionContribute to our partner experimentation program, raising the bar on how we test and learn Requirements: Strong foundation in statistics, causal inference, or quantitative modelingExperience translating business questions into analytical frameworks and communicating results clearly to non-technical audiencesComfortable working independently on data preparation, analysis, and modeling — and knowing when to ask for guidanceCuriosity about payments, marketplaces, or fintech (domain experience is a plus)Eagerness to grow your craft, share knowledge with peers, and engage with the broader data science communityDegree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, economics, physics, computer science, or similar)Proficiency in SQL and Python (or R)Experience with A/B testing and experimental designFamiliarity with working in a data-rich Benefits & Perks - Global Impact, Personal Relevance: Booking.com’s Total Rewards Philosophy is not only about compensation but also about benefits.
