The Role
We’re looking for a mid-level Backend / AI Engineer to join the engineering team and take ownership of core systems powering the company’s AI platform.
You’ll work across the backend stack, building production services and AI-powered workflows that need to be reliable, scalable, and easy to integrate into real-world healthcare environments.
This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys moving between backend engineering, distributed systems, data, and applied AI.
You’ll have significant ownership over projects and will work closely with senior engineers, product, and domain experts to turn complex problems into production systems.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIsDevelop AI-powered applications and workflows using modern LLM technologiesBuild and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure supporting AI applicationsWork with LLMs, RAG, agents, embeddings, vector databases, and evaluation frameworksIntegrate AI systems with external APIs, enterprise systems, and proprietary datasetsOwn projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation and deploymentImprove the reliability, observability, performance, and scalability of production systemsWork closely with product and domain experts to understand complex healthcare workflowsContribute to architectural decisions and help shape engineering best practicesRapidly prototype new ideas while maintaining a high bar for production quality
