Backend Python Developer(5-days Onsite) Position: Senior Software Engineer Location: Toronto, ON Employment Type: Full-time Job Description We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build highly scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions within our core banking platform. You will work in a cross-functional engineering team focused on enhancing a distributed microservices-based system that processes high volumes of financial transactions. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance backend solutions.Build and enhance distributed microservices-based systems processing high volumes of financial transactions.Participate in system design, technical architecture, and product design discussions.Own end-to-end delivery of large features.Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.Optimize system performance and ensure reliability.Required Skills: 5+ years of software development experience.Strong experience with Python (preferred) or another object-oriented language.Expertise in Microservices and Distributed Systems.REST API development.Docker and containerized environments.SQL/MySQL and RDBMS concepts.RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies.Git/GitHub.Linux/Unix.Cloud experience is a plus.
