The team supports a range of security engineering initiatives across the group, building solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen security outcomes and help address complex problems in scalable and repeatable ways. Working alongside software engineers, architects, product owners and security specialists, you'll contribute to the development of modern engineering solutions while continuously expanding your technical knowledge and capability. Do work that matters: Software Engineering & Delivery Design, build and support scalable APIs, automation services and software solutionsDevelop solutions that address complex security and operational challenges across the organisationContribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to testing, deployment and production supportDeliver high-quality, maintainable code using modern engineering practices Engineering Excellence Champion engineering best practices across testing, CI/CD, observability and operational supportContribute to improving reliability, performance and maintainability across engineering solutionsParticipate in code reviews and support continuous improvement initiativesHelp identify and resolve recurring technical issues Collaboration & Problem Solving Work closely with engineers, product owners and security teams to deliver impactful solutionsInvestigate complex technical challenges and contribute innovative approaches to solving themSupport engineering discussions around architecture, design and delivery decisionsCollaborate across squads to share knowledge and improve outcomes Continuous Learning & Innovation Stay current with emerging technologies, engineering trends and modern development practicesExplore opportunities to apply automation and AI-driven tools to improve engineering outcomesContribute ideas that improve processes, tooling and operational efficiencyDemonstrate adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies when required. We're Interested In Hearing From People Who Have Strong full-stack software engineering experience with deep backend engineering expertiseExperience building and supporting software across the full development lifecycle, from design and development through to testing, deployment and production supportExperience designing and building APIs, automation solutions or distributed systemsSolid programming experience in Python or similar modern programming languagesExperience working in cloud environments such as AWS or AzureStrong understanding of modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, testing and deployment automationExperience working in Agile teams and contributing to end-to-end deliveryStrong problem-solving capability and a passion for continuous improvementLearning agility and curiosity, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and unfamiliar challenges Experience in cyber security, security engineering, incident response or related environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
