The GPC Global Technology Center team works on a wide range of projects assisting in areas such as e-commerce and data platforms, supply chain solutions, selling systems, and cyber security. This is home to a team of highly skilled IT engineers who are dedicated to driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions for GPC. Position Purpose: As an SRE within our growing eCommerce organization, you will be the engineer our development teams count on for smooth builds, deployments, and day-to-day platform support. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerize services, and deploy them to Azure. Working alongside developers, you will support them with Docker, DNS, certificates, and traffic routing, and help keep our services reliable through our observability stack. In cooperation with the SRE lead and other engineers, you will independently own well-scoped automation and reliability work, while growing toward broader platform ownership over time. Requirements: 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform EngineeringPractical, hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) - able to build independently, not only run existing & writing and optimizing DockerfilesConfident with Git / GitHub workflowsSolid networking fundamentals - DNS, HTTP/HTTPS and status codes, TLS/SSL certificates, reverse proxies, firewalls, and traffic routing; able to debugHands-on with progressive delivery - Blue/Green deploymentsHands-on with observability - not just actively using logs, metrics, and traces to debug production issues but also building dashboards, alerts, thresholds; experience with New Relic is a strong plusScripting in Bash and/or PythonWorks independently on well-scoped problems and knows when to escalateHands-on and pragmatic - solves the problem, not just closes the ticketGood communicator - supports development teams directly, day to dayProactive with an ownership mindsetCurious and open to learning new toolsReliability mindset - thinks about what can break, and why, before it doesReduces operational toil through automation, and documents operational tasks so they're repeatable and reliable Nice to have: Azure ACA, APIM; Cloudflare; API versioning and feature flags (LaunchDarkly); secrets management / OIDC federation; e-commerce or high-traffic environments
