Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our Platform Operations & Engineering Team, implementing modernization initiatives for store Point of Sale (POS) systems across edge locations.
The team will be engaged in a number of activities, the primary ones for this position being development and maintenance of the Observability pipeline and processes, building and maintaining the edge (in-store) infrastructure, and the development and enhancement of the current CI/CD (GitOps) flow.

Responsibilities
Execute infrastructure enhancements across edge locations using Oracle Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s/K3s), Helm, Kustomize, and AnsibleDeploy and maintain containerized applications in distributed edge computing environmentsImplement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and ensure high availability of POS systemsBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCDSet up automated testing, security scanning, and deployment processesManage GitOps workflows and optimize deployment efficiencyDeploy and configure FluentBit, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and GrafanaEstablish comprehensive logging, metrics collection, and distributed tracingCreate dashboards, alerts, and support incident response activitiesDevelop platform tools, scripts, and automation to support development teamsEnable self-service capabilities and automate operational tasks while ensuring security best practices across all implementationsCollaborate with the Systems Architect, development teams, and participate in agile ceremonies, creating technical documentation and sharing knowledge with team members
Requirements
3+ years of experience in DevOps or platform engineeringHands-on experience with Linux administration (Oracle Linux preferred), Docker, and KubernetesExpertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and GitOps practicesProficiency in observability tools such as FluentBit, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and GrafanaCompetency in Ansible, Helm, and Kustomize alongside infrastructure as codeSkills in scripting (Bash, Python) and automationUnderstanding of edge computing and distributed infrastructure challenges, including monitoring strategies for distributed systemsKnowledge of security best practices in DevOps environmentsBackground in retail/POS environments highly preferredStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesExcellent communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholdersProven ability to work in cross-functional agile teams, self-motivated with a strong ownership mentalityFlexibility to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environmentsProficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
