Microsoft Platform Engineer (Azure & Microsoft 365) Wembley - Fully On-Site 5 DAYS A WEEK £50,000 per annum + Permanent Benefits We're seeking a Senior Microsoft Platform Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a complex hybrid estate spanning on-premises infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and public cloud platforms. This is an opportunity to play a key role in cloud transformation, platform automation, identity management and Microsoft 365 optimisation whilst helping shape a secure and scalable technology environment. What You'll Be Doing You'll take ownership of core Microsoft platforms and services across both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring availability, security and operational excellence. Your Responsibilities Will Include Administering and optimising Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and IntuneManaging identity and access across Active Directory and Entra IDDesigning and supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure across Azure and on-premises environmentsImplementing and maintaining SSO, MFA and Conditional Access policiesSupporting Microsoft 365 security, compliance and governance initiativesManaging hybrid connectivity including VPNs, DNS, routing and Firewall integrationsAutomating operational processes through PowerShell, Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practicesSupporting platform monitoring, patching, resilience and disaster recoveryDelivering cloud migration, transformation and optimisation projectsProducing and maintaining technical documentation and operational standardsWorking closely with infrastructure, networking, security and service teams to improve platform performance and reliability What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced Microsoft platform professional with a strong blend of infrastructure, cloud and M365 expertise. You'll Ideally Have 5+ years' experience within Infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Cloud or Platform EngineeringStrong hands-on administration experience across Microsoft 365Expertise in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune and Entra IDExperience supporting hybrid Microsoft environmentsStrong Active Directory and identity management experienceExperience with Azure cloud servicesPowerShell Scripting and automation experienceGood understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, VPNs, routing and FirewallsExperience supporting Windows Server environmentsKnowledge of platform security, monitoring, backup and disaster recoveryExcellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills Desirable Experience Any Of The Following Would Be Advantageous Microsoft Defender suiteMicrosoft PurviewMicrosoft SentinelVMwareAzure DevOps
