DevOps Engineer

Role: Devops Engineer Location: Geneva, Switzerland Type: Permanent/ Full-Time Job Description Deployment Automation: Automate build, testing, and deployment processes to accelerate delivery, reduce manual intervention and errors, and support frequent, reliable releases through practices such as feature toggling.Environment Provisioning: Provision development, staging, production, and other required environments consistently and repeatably using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).CI/CD Quality and Security: Integrate security, quality, and reliability checks throughout CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with relevant technical and quality stakeholders.Infrastructure as Code: Develop reusable, maintainable scripts and configurations for infrastructure and configuration management.Implementation & Best Practices: Ensure implementations align with architectural standards and guide engineers on best practices for deployment, logging, monitoring, observability, and production readiness.Monitoring & Observability: Establish and maintain effective monitoring, analytics, alerting, and observability capabilities in collaboration with engineering and testing teams.Incident Response: Diagnose and resolve production issues proactively and reactively. Conduct root-cause analysis with engineering stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to restore and maintain service reliability.Performance & Cost Optimization: Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency through sound architectural decisions, automation, and continuous optimization.Continuous Improvement: Use operational metrics and performance data to identify improvement opportunities and support data-driven decisions.Responsibilities: The DevOps Engineer works across the full product lifecycle, collaborating closely with product, architecture, software engineering, testing, business analysis, and infrastructure stakeholders. They bridge the gap between software development and production operations by: Enabling reliable and automated delivery of software to production.Ensuring infrastructure and environments are scalable, reusable, secure, and reliable.Supporting production readiness from initial deployment through ongoing upgrades and maintenance.Promoting best practices in automation, observability, monitoring, incident management, and system optimization.Helping engineering teams address production operational challenges and improve system observability, including appropriate logging and monitoring.Ensuring platforms can reliably handle production-level workloads and data volumes while maintaining stability and availability.Providing proactive and reactive production support within defined service-level expectations.
