Our Apprenticeship Management Information System (Dynamics 365) is a purpose-built platform for regional apprenticeship authorities β€” combining a Dynamics 365 / Dataverse back office with Power Pages portals for training providers, apprentices and employers, covering provider designation, course scheduling, capacity management, training-provider funding and payments. About the role You will be the hands-on technical lead for implementations of Dynamics 365 for regional apprenticeship authorities β€” owning the solution design and build of the Dynamics 365 / Dataverse back office, the Power Pages portals for training providers, apprentices and employers, and the Azure-based integrations that connect them to client ERP, identity and reporting environments. You will lead a small delivery team, set technical standards and ALM practice, and work directly with client IT stakeholders from design workshops through go-live and hypercare. The role also supports pre-sales: solution demos, technical responses to RFPs, and estimation. Key responsibilities – Lead the technical implementation of Dynamics 365 engagements end-to-end: solution architecture, estimation, build, integration, data migration, deployment and hypercare. – Design the Dataverse data model and security model (business units, security roles, teams, portal table permissions) for multi-persona solutions. – Build model-driven apps β€” forms, views, business process flows, business rules, custom pages β€” and extend with C#/.NET plugins, custom workflow activities and PCF controls. – Develop Power Pages portals β€” web templates and Liquid, web roles and table permissions, multi-step forms, Entra External ID / Azure AD B2C authentication. – Implement integrations using Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Service Bus and Power Automate β€” including ERP/finance interfaces (EFT schedules, GL mapping, invoice flows), SharePoint document management and email/Teams notifications. – Automate document generation (agreements, letters, certificates) and scheduled/recurring processes (payment re-spreading, reconciliation cycles, correspondence). – Own ALM and DevOps: solution segmentation, source control, automated deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub), environment strategy and release management. – Lead data and document migration from legacy systems, including mapping, transformation scripts and reconciliation reporting. – Mentor developers and configurators, conduct code and configuration reviews, and set engineering standards. – Support pre-sales: build and deliver solution demonstrations, contribute to RFP responses and technical estimates. Required qualifications & experience – 7+ years of professional software development, including 5+ years on Microsoft Power Platform / Dynamics 365 CE (Dataverse). – Proven delivery of at least two full-lifecycle D365/Power Platform implementations in a technical-lead role. – Strong C#/.NET for Dataverse plugins and Azure Functions; JavaScript/TypeScript for web resources and PCF controls. – Hands-on Power Pages (Power Apps portals) experience: Liquid templates, web roles, table permissions, external identity (Entra External ID / B2C). – Azure integration services: API Management, Service Bus, Functions, Logic Apps / Power Automate; REST/OData; OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect. – Dataverse security modelling, solution ALM and automated deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions). – Data migration experience (SSIS/KingswaySoft, dataflows, or custom tooling) including validation and reconciliation. – Excellent client-facing communication; able to run technical workshops and explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders. – Legally eligible to work in Canada; able to pass public-sector background/security screening. Nice to have – Microsoft certifications: PL-400 (Developer), PL-600 (Solution Architect), AZ-204 or equivalent. – Public-sector delivery experience (provincial/municipal), ideally regulated case-management, permitting, licensing or funding/grants domains. – Power BI data modelling and DAX; Azure AI services (Document Intelligence, Copilot Studio). – SharePoint Online integration patterns and document lifecycle management. – Experience with payment/finance integrations (EFT, GL coding, invoice approval workflows).
