We are based in Germany, but we have an international soul. https://www.global-traceability.com/en/ About The Role We're looking for an experienced Senior Developer or Software Architect to take ownership of a Java-based backend and Angular frontend application. This is a remote role suited to someone who can operate independently, make sound architectural decisions, and also get hands-on with implementation when needed. Whether you see yourself as a hands-on senior engineer or a technical architect, we want to hear from you — the level of the role will be shaped around the right candidate. What You'll Do • Own and evolve the architecture of a Java backend and Angular frontend application • Design and implement new features, integrations, and system improvements • Make key technical decisions around scalability, maintainability, and performance • Review code, mentor other developers, and help raise the overall engineering bar • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions • Contribute to technical documentation and best practices What We're Looking For • Java — strong professional experience (backend development, API design, application architecture) • Angular — strong professional experience (frontend architecture, component design, state management) • Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns • Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs • Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly • Prior experience in a senior or architect-level role is a plus Nice to Have • Experience with cloud platforms and deployment pipelines • Experience with database design and optimisation • Background in system integration or enterprise application development What We Offer • Fully remote position with flexible working arrangements • Ownership over meaningful technical decisions • Opportunity to shape the architecture and direction of the product Send your CV to info@global-traceability.com.
