Role Description The Software Engineer, Full Stack will design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications and services that power Ema’s AI Employees.
This full-time, on-site role based in the United Kingdom involves collaborating with product, design, and AI engineering teams to build scalable user interfaces, APIs, and integration layers with enterprise HR, IT, and Finance systems.
Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, improving performance and reliability, writing clean and testable code, and participating in code reviews.
The role also includes troubleshooting production issues, enhancing security and compliance across the stack, and contributing to technical architecture decisions and documentation.
Qualifications
Strong full-stack engineering skills, including experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar) and back-end development in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.Experience building and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and integrating with third-party or enterprise systems.Solid understanding of databases and data storage, including SQL and/or NoSQL technologies, and basic data modeling principles.Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices, such as containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/logging tools.Familiarity with security, privacy, and compliance considerations in software development, ideally within regulated or enterprise environments.Proficiency in writing tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and working with version control systems like Git.Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and contribute to architectural and design discussions.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in AI, automation, or enterprise SaaS is a plus.
