Cloud Engineer

A growing professional services business is hiring a Lead Cloud Engineer to take technical ownership of its cloud, infrastructure and security platforms. Senior and hands on, with no line management. This is a design and delivery role, setting the technical standard across the estate. The role Own the cloud and infrastructure roadmap across Azure and Microsoft 365Deploy and manage Microsoft security tooling, working alongside an external security providerLead on enterprise identity, covering hybrid identity, MFA, Conditional Access and privileged accessData protection and compliance tooling, including loss prevention and classificationEnd user computing, virtual desktop, networking, backup and recoveryGovernance around emerging AI toolingDeliver infrastructure and cloud projects end to end Requirements Demonstrable ownership of a Microsoft estate rather than one part of itSubstantial Azure architecture and operational experience, with strong M365 depthHands on deployment experience across the Microsoft security stackStrong Entra ID and Active Directory identity and access managementA track record of delivering infrastructure and cloud projects to completionComfortable prioritising design and delivery work over day to day operational tasksAble to work with ambiguity in a fast changing environment Desirable Microsoft Azure, Security or M365 certificationsAn architecture, information security or risk qualificationExperience within a regulated or client confidential professional services environmentWorking knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and UK data protection For more information, please send your CV or get in touch.
