About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT professional to join our team in a key role that supports the digital transformation initiatives of the Bundeswehr. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of security and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical projects that directly impact national security and defense capabilities. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of modern IT systems and security protocols. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructures, preferably within a defense or governmental environment.Strong knowledge of network architecture, cybersecurity, and system administration.Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and modern IT tools and platforms.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle sensitive information with discretion.Fluency in German and proficiency in English are required. Responsibilities Manage and maintain the integrity, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure supporting Bundeswehr operations.Implement and oversee security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with national and international standards.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software components.Monitor system performance, identify issues proactively, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including migration, modernization, and security enhancements.Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.Provide technical support and training to end-users and team members as needed.Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve IT services and infrastructure.
