The GPC Global Technology Center team works on a wide range of projects assisting in areas such as e-commerce and data platforms, supply chain solutions, selling systems, and cyber security. This is home to a team of highly skilled IT engineers who are dedicated to driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions for GPC. Position Purpose: As a developer on our team, you will play a crucial role in both technically supporting and modernizing our systems. You will work closely with a motivated group of professionals, both in the office and remotely, to provide our customers with the best possible experience. You will be highly valuable by not only helping our existing legacy systems perform optimally, but also actively contributing to the development of new, future-proof applications. Your workday will be dynamic and challenging. You will ensure that our legacy systems remain stable and improve them where necessary. At the same time, you will help build our new headless platform using modern technologies such as React, Next.js, and preferably TypeScript. Thanks to your knowledge and approach, you will be an important part of the transition to a modern solution that enables us to respond more quickly to our users’ needs. In addition to technical skills, you will also be a valuable team player. You will feel at home in a Scrum team and actively contribute to sprint sessions, sharing your insights while inspiring and helping others grow. Clear communication comes naturally to you: you make sure your colleagues always know what they can expect from you, and you collaborate smoothly with both front-end and back-end developers. Requirements: You have a strong foundation and the expertise to make an immediate impact: Your extensive PHP experience helps us keep the legacy systems in top condition.You have solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and use these daily to achieve the best results.You know how to use modern frameworks such as React and Next.js to build new functionality.Knowledge of TypeScript is a plus and highly appreciated.Experience with NestJS is preferred.You are a strong communicator, a team player, and fully comfortable in a Scrum working environment.
