The operation continues to invest in its future through a significant pipeline of sustaining capital, improvement and engineering projects. An opportunity now exists for an experienced Superintendent – Engineering Projects to lead the engineering projects function through the next phase of operational improvement and capital delivery. Reporting to the Manager, GFM Maintenance, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and cost-conscious delivery of a broad portfolio of sustaining capital, improvement initiatives and longer-term engineering projects. You will lead a multidisciplinary team across Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Structural engineering, working closely with Maintenance, Reliability, Operations and Technical stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop project strategies and deliver outcomes that support the long-term performance of the operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager or Engineering Manager looking to step into a Superintendent-level leadership role. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Engineering Projects team.Lead the planning and delivery of sustaining capital and longer-term engineering projects.Prioritise and resource projects in line with operational requirements and business priorities.Ensure projects are delivered safely and to agreed scope, schedule and budget.Manage project budgets, forecasting and financial performance.Provide engineering support across maintenance, reliability, safety and operations.Identify opportunities for process improvement, asset optimisation and continuous improvement.Work closely with internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure effective project delivery.Support planned plant shutdowns and major maintenance activities where required.Coach and develop engineers and project personnel.Contribute to engineering standards, asset strategy and the ongoing improvement of the operation. You'll Bring Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.7+ years' experience within mining, heavy industry or a similar operational environment.Strong experience across engineering projects, capital delivery, sustaining capital or maintenance engineering.Experience leading engineering or project teams.Demonstrated experience managing project budgets and financial performance.Strong understanding of project delivery principles and engineering standards.Exposure to asset management, maintenance strategy or reliability.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong commercial, problem-solving and decision-making capability.Experience with SAP or similar maintenance / asset management systems.S1, S2 and S3 qualifications.
