Job Title: Junior Machine Learning Engineer Employment Type: Full-time; Sanepa, Lalitpur Working Hours: 9am to 6pm (Monday to Friday) No. of Openings: 3 About the Role We are looking for a curious, research-oriented, and motivated Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI/ML team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in machine learning and Python, with an interest in exploring emerging technologies in Computer Vision, Audio and Speech AI, Multimodal Models, and Agentic AI systems. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and researchers to experiment with new AI techniques, build prototypes, evaluate models, and contribute to the development of practical AI-powered products. Key Responsibilities Conduct research and experimentation on emerging AI/ML techniques, particularly in computer vision, audio and speech models, multimodal AI, and agentic AI workflows.Design, develop, test, and evaluate machine learning solutions and prototypes.Build and iterate on proofs of concept (POCs) to explore new ideas and assess their practical application.Experiment with open-source and commercial AI models and benchmark their performance for different use cases.Work with vision models involving image and video processing, object detection, segmentation, embeddings, and multimodal models.Explore and contribute to LLM-based applications, including RAG systems, tool calling, AI agents, orchestration, and multi-step workflows.Assist in developing and evaluating audio and speech-based AI solutions, such as speech recognition, audio classification, embeddings, and text-to-speech.Read and analyze research papers, reproduce relevant approaches, and identify techniques that can be applied to company products and projects.Analyze experimental results, document findings, and communicate technical insights and recommendations to the team.Collaborate with ML Engineers, Software Engineers, and other team members to troubleshoot problems and contribute to end-to-end AI projects.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code. Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Machine Learning, AI development, research, or related projects.Strong personal, academic, internship, or open-source projects may also be considered. Technical Skilss Machine Learning Fundamentals Good understanding of neural networks, model training and evaluation, optimization techniques, embeddings, and common ML performance metrics.Understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.Computer Vision Knowledge of image and video processing.Familiarity with CNNs, Vision Transformers, object detection, image segmentation, embeddings, and multimodal vision models.LLMs & Agentic AI Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs).Familiarity with concepts such as RAG, tool calling, agent architectures, orchestration, and multi-step AI workflows.Audio & Speech AI Familiarity with speech recognition, audio classification, audio embeddings, or text-to-speech systems.Experience or familiarity with models such as Whisper is an advantage.Programming & Tools Strong proficiency in Python.Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.Experience using Git and working with APIs.Understanding of basic data processing and ML development workflows.
