DevOps Engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer | Azure | DevSecOps | NV1 | Canberra We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing technology program delivering complex cloud and infrastructure capabilities within a secure government environment. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys getting hands-on with Azure, DevSecOps, infrastructure automation and cloud security, and wants to play a genuine role in building and improving cloud platforms. You’ll work across a broad technical environment, helping design secure cloud foundations, automate deployments and improve how infrastructure and applications are delivered. What you’ll be working on: Designing and implementing Azure cloud infrastructureBuilding and maintaining Infrastructure as CodeDeveloping automated deployment and self-service capabilitiesStrengthening cloud security and governanceWorking across Azure DevOps and DevSecOpsSupporting Linux-based environments and Java applicationsImplementing Azure security controls including RBAC, Azure Policy and Defender for CloudMonitoring cloud environments, performance and utilisationImproving vulnerability management and security processesWorking closely with architects, developers and technical stakeholdersContributing to Agile delivery and technical designSharing knowledge and helping mature DevOps practices across the team We’re looking for someone with: 5+ years’ experience working in DevOps environments, ideally across complex data or analytics platformsStrong hands-on Azure administration experienceStrong Azure DevOps / DevSecOps capabilitySolid Linux administration experienceExperience developing and maintaining IaC using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and/or YAMLA strong understanding of cloud security, governance and automationThe ability to work comfortably with both technical and senior stakeholders Desirable: Kubernetes experienceWeb application development experienceExperience working in highly secure or regulated environments Canberra | Hybrid 12-month contract + extensions Competitive hourly rate NV1 required or ability to obtain If you’re a DevOps Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and wants to work across cloud, automation and security, we’d be keen to hear from you.
