Junior AI Automation Developer

Pixel Systems is growing our team to support a large project for a major German logistics provider based in Munich. We are looking for a Junior AI Automation Developer to help us build the tools that will handle their shipping data and warehouse coordination. This is a full-time, permanent position that is completely remote. You will be working directly with our senior team to build practical software that solves real operational problems for our clients. Instead, we help companies move away from messy spreadsheets and manual data entry. We specialize in admin panels, database migrations, and connecting different software tools that were never meant to talk to one another. Our approach is simple: we provide clear quotes, we show our work every week, and we give the client everything (the code and the documentation) once we are finished. We use reliable tools like Node, Postgres, and React because we want the software to stay up and running without constant maintenance. We are a fully remote company and we value clear communication and steady, reliable work. The Role In this position, you will work on automating the workflows for our logistics client. This involves writing code to move data from their internal systems into AI models to help categorize shipments, predict delays, and organize warehouse schedules. This is not a research role: it is an implementation role. You will spend your time writing scripts, connecting APIs, and building the logic that allows these systems to function together. You will also help build simple interfaces that logistics coordinators use to see the results of these automations. This is a paid position, and the compensation is competitive for someone starting their career in software development. What You Bring We are looking for someone who is organized and enjoys the process of solving puzzles. You do not need a long resume, but you do need to understand the basics of programming. You should be comfortable writing code that is easy for someone else to read and maintain. Since we are a remote team, you need to be good at explaining your work in writing and participating in weekly video demos. You should be curious about how data moves through a system and willing to learn new tools as the project requires. Helpful Background While this is an entry level role, we would be glad to see some familiarity with the following: Basic knowledge of Javascript, Python, or a similar language. Experience using an API to fetch or send data from one application to another. Familiarity with SQL and how databases like Postgres function. Basic skills with Git and GitHub for version control and sharing code. An interest in how large language models can be used to sort and process text data. Experience with React or another frontend framework for building simple dashboards. A history of building small personal projects or completing a coding bootcamp.
