Staff Software Engineer - .NET Full Stack

As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll combine strategic thinking, technical leadership, and hands-on expertise to deliver the next generation of home loan experiences. Working across the full stack with .NET, ASP.NET Core, React, and Next.js, you’ll design and build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. This is a true end-to-end engineering role where you’ll influence architecture, drive technical direction, and take products from inception through to production with a strong “you build it, you own it” mindset. You’ll lead through both strategy and execution, partnering with engineers, architects, and product teams to solve complex challenges at enterprise scale. As a trusted technical leader and SME, you’ll uplift engineering capability while remaining close to the technology and key design decisions. We’re interested in hearing from people who: Build and own full-stack solutions – delivering backend services in .NET / ASP.NET Core and modern front ends using React and Next.js, with strong focus on performance, maintainability, and accessibility.Work across the full engineering lifecycle – from problem definition and architecture through delivery, CI/CD, observability, and production support in an Agile and DevSecOps environment.Design scalable backend platforms – building secure, resilient APIs and services in .NET, applying strong domain modelling, performance optimisation, and operational visibility.Deliver complex front-end capabilities – engineering modern web platforms with React and Next.js, using scalable component patterns, SSR/SSG strategies, and performance optimisation.Leverage AI in engineering workflows – using AI to accelerate development, testing, and design while maintaining clear guardrails around code quality, data protection, and security.Understand AI risks and controls – identifying potential issues such as hallucinated code, vulnerabilities, or unsafe dependencies, and applying strong validation and review practices.Lead through technical depth and mentorship – guiding engineers in full-cycle engineering, modern architecture, and responsible AI adoption while maintaining high standards for quality and security.
