About the Position / Assignment: Client is looking for several consultants to work on a long-term assignment within the Local Market Contracts domain. The domain is organized around a multidisciplinary team operating according to Agile methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum. Main Responsibilities As part of this team, you will be expected to: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and practices. Design, develop, test, deploy and monitor applications, primarily using Java 8. Maintain and enhance APIs developed in Scala, as well as frontend interfaces based on Dojo. Contribute to the gradual modernisation of the existing application portfolio. Develop functional and technical expertise in strategic areas of the domain. Participate in the integration of new solutions and architectures. Use artificial intelligence solutions daily, such as MIA and Claude, to improve development quality, maintainability and productivity. Develop and maintain automated tests in Scala using Playwright. Participate in the developer community to share best practices and lessons learned. Support colleagues in developing their skills through pair programming, code reviews and knowledge sharing. Required Skills Essential Front-End Skills Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.Ability to consume and integrate REST APIs. Essential Back-End Skills Excellent command of object-oriented programming, particularly Java 8 or later.Experience with relational databases, ideally DB2.Knowledge of REST API design and development. Nice-to-Have Skills Knowledge of functional programming, particularly Scala.Experience maintaining asynchronous Bash processes.Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.Knowledge of COBOL, particularly for maintaining applications migrated to Java.Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka.Experience using the JSON:API standard. Desired Experience 5+ years of experience in full-stack Java development, ideally in an Agile environment. Technical and Methodological Skills Proficiency in the complete software development lifecycle.Ability to propose, justify and implement architectural decisions.Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices, including Kubernetes.Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or Sentry.Familiarity with source code management tools, particularly Git.Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks, including Playwright.
