Infrastructure Engineer Company: $40M-Funded Series A Industrial Technology Startup Location: San Francisco, CA Work Arrangement: Onsite, five days per week Compensation: $150,000 to $175,000 base salary, plus equity Experience: Ideally 3 to 8 years About the Company Our client is a VC-backed industrial technology startup rebuilding America’s metal supply through advanced recycling and computer vision technology. The company has developed novel sortation technology that separates mixed scrap into pure alloys, as well as computer vision sensors that help recycling facilities price materials accurately and detect fraud in real time. Backed by $40 million in Series A funding, the company is a small, high-caliber team preparing to scale its technology across hundreds of customer locations nationwide. About the Role The company is hiring its first dedicated Infrastructure Engineer to own the operational foundation of its sensor platform. You will take end-to-end responsibility for cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, deployment pipelines, observability, incident response, reliability, and cost controls. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who has scaled production infrastructure and is comfortable operating independently within an early-stage environment. This is not an application-development position with occasional DevOps responsibilities.
