Salary: $85,000- $130,000 Key Responsibilities Analyze global rigid packaging, beverage, and consumer goods trends to shape application strategies, product roadmaps, and innovation priorities. Develop and quantify relationships between package performance, polymer properties, preform design, injection molding, reheating, and stretch blow molding processes. Identify, evaluate, and adapt emerging stretch blow molding technologies, packaging applications, and industry trends to sustain Husky's competitive advantage. Apply a data-driven, first-principles approach, leveraging scientific modeling, experimentation, and advanced analytics to understand, predict, and optimize complex physical phenomena. Lead end-to-end innovation and engineering initiatives, from concept ideation and prototyping through proof-of-concept validation, product development, and commercialization. Collaborate with cross-functional experts across Product Development, Advanced Development, Testing, and Validation teams to translate emerging technologies into scalable, customer-focused solutions Technical Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Packaging Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in product development, application engineering, advanced manufacturing, or R&D, preferably within packaging, plastics, medical devices, or consumer products. Solid expertise in polymer behavior, material selection, and plastics processing technologies. Experience with PET packaging development, including preform design, stretch blow molding processes, container performance, and material optimization.Strong understanding of injection molding systems, including machine technology, mold design, hot runner systems, and process optimization principles. Hands-on experience leading feasibility assessments, prototype development, technology validation, and product commercialization activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into innovative, customer-focused solutions. Personal Qualifications Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical audiences. Strong technical leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams. Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional, and fast-paced team environment. Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple initiatives, and delegate responsibilities to achieve business objectives.
