About The Role
We're looking for a Data Backend Engineer to join our China team and strengthen Wati's data infrastructure.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with large-scale data systems, enabling insights, analytics, and intelligent decision-making across our platform.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend servicesDesign and optimize data storage solutions (structured and unstructured)Collaborate with product and analytics teams to deliver data-driven featuresEnsure data quality, availability, and performance at scaleIntegrate with third-party APIs and tools for reporting and analytics
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field2-4 years of experience in backend/data engineeringStrong skills in Python, Java, or GoHands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, BigQuery)Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and streaming frameworks (Kafka, Spark, Flink)Understanding of cloud-based data infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
