Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain datacenter infrastructure including servers, storage, racks, UPS, PDU, and cooling systemsMonitor datacenter environment 24/7 and respond to alerts and incidents in a timely mannerPerform hands-on installation and commissioning of datacenter hardware (servers, switches, patch panels, fiber and copper cabling)Ensure proper physical organization of datacenter racks, cabling, and equipment labelingMonitor and maintain power, cooling, and environmental systems within the datacenterPerform routine preventive maintenance and hardware inspectionsSupport basic network tasks such as VLAN configuration, IP addressing, and cable patchingLog and track all incidents and tasks through the ticketing systemGenerate regular reports on datacenter availability, capacity, and performanceCoordinate with vendors and suppliers for hardware maintenance and replacementsEnsure datacenter physical security and access control procedures are followedMaintain up-to-date documentation of datacenter assets, configurations, and layouts
Requirements:
BSc in Telecommunications Engineering / Computer Science / IT / Electronics or related field2 years of experience in datacenter operations or a similar roleGood understanding of datacenter infrastructure (racks, UPS, PDU, CRAC units, structured cabling)Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP addressing, VLANs, switching, routing)Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios, or similar) is a plusHands-on experience with server and network hardware installationKnowledge of Cisco or Huawei equipment is a plusAbility to work in shifts including night shiftStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsGood communication skills in Arabic and EnglishOnly candidates residing in Aqaba will be considered for this position.
