Senior Backend Engineer

An innovative organisation in the aerospace and defence sector is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer. This role focuses on building prototypes and new capabilities for web applications and services, playing a key role in shaping the architecture needed to take minimum viable products into production. What You'll Be Doing Leading the architecture, development, and maintenance of standardized processes and tools to streamline the software engineering lifecycle.Designing APIs and developing data-processing and analytics pipelines while optimizing SQL queries.Providing technical oversight for production-ready systems and mentoring engineers across all levels.Building and expanding infrastructure for multi-application communications, logging, alerts, and authentication.Evaluating emerging technologies and researching innovative solutions to address complex technical challenges. What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.At least 5 years of experience in backend software development.Legally authorized to work in the United States with an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.Proven ability to take projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision.Strong teamwork skills with the ability to create clarity from ambiguous requirements.
