Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Development role based in Okemos, MI.
The Software Developer will design, build, and maintain features for Noventix Global, focusing on reliable, scalable, and secure code.
Daily responsibilities include programming new functionality, integrating and optimizing databases, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and collaborating with product and design teams to refine requirements.
The role also involves reviewing code, improving system performance, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices.
Team members are expected to participate in agile ceremonies, give and receive feedback constructively, and help continually improve the platform’s user experience for recruiters and job seekers.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production systems.Hands-on experience working with Databases (design, queries, optimization, integration with applications).Proficiency with Linux environments, including command-line tools, scripting, and basic system troubleshooting.Practical experience developing applications in Java, including object-oriented design and modern frameworks.Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices (testing, version control, code review).Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.Experience with web services or APIs, cloud platforms, and security-conscious development is a plus.
