Required Qualifications:
Lead architecture and system design for the engineering team by framing solution options, evaluating technical trade-offs, and driving the team toward optimal design decisions.Establish and maintain stable, well-defined contracts across services, APIs, and application components.Take loosely defined business and technical problems from concept through design, development, testing, deployment, and production delivery across the frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure layers.Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI, with well-modeled data structures and robust API contracts.Build high-quality React-based frontends with a strong focus on usability, accessibility, responsive design, performance, and maintainability.Design, build, and maintain the data layer using PostgreSQL and Databricks, ensuring data correctness, freshness, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.Provision, configure, secure, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud resources, including containers, CI/CD pipelines, identity, secrets management, storage, and cloud cost optimization.Design and maintain CI/CD and deployment pipelines to enable reliable, repeatable, and automated software delivery.Integrate AI/ML and LLM-powered capabilities using Azure OpenAI, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, evaluation, prompt management, and AI guardrails.Design and implement model-backed application features with appropriate evaluation, monitoring, security, and responsible AI practices.Own production reliability and application health, including monitoring, observability, on-call support, incident response, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Implement strong security practices and ensure safe handling, storage, and processing of sensitive and confidential data.Establish a high technical quality bar through architecture reviews, code reviews, testing standards, and engineering best practices.Coordinate technical delivery across engineering, data, AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and product teams.
