About Allswell Technology Services Allswell Technology Services builds autonomous UAVs and UGVs for commercial infrastructure inspection — serving customers from fisheries and power utilities to environmental-protection programs. The Role You will build and scale our in-house Android-based companion computer — the onboard brain that rides on every aircraft. Why a phone-class device? Because a modern flagship integrates the camera, NPU, GNSS, cellular modem, and backup battery the world currently assembles from separate components. Your job is to make consumer hardware behave like flight hardware, then put it on the whole fleet. Qualifications 2+ years of professional Android development in Kotlin (C++/NDK a plus)Experience building Android apps that interface with hardware — camera, USB, BLE, or sensors — or run as long-lived servicesHands-on robotics experience in any form: drones, ground robots, or embedded systems — professional work and serious side projects count equallyWorking familiarity with one or more of: MAVLink, ArduPilot/PX4, ROS, DJI Mobile SDK, autopilots, motor controllers, sensor buses Preferred On-device ML deployment (LiteRT/TFLite, NNAPI/QNN)Camera2/CameraX and MediaCodec experienceVideo streaming: RTSP/RTP or GStreamerDroneCAN/UAVCAN
