Embedded Software Engineer - Qt

Technical Specialist – Qt Location: Charlotte, NC – Onsite Contract - 12+ months Job Overview We are looking for a Technical Specialist – Qt with 10+ years of software development experience and strong expertise in embedded systems, Qt, and C++ application development. The ideal candidate will have experience developing UI software using Qt and working in a regulated environment with strong software quality and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain medical device UI software using Qt and Qt Widgets.Develop scalable and maintainable Qt applications using MVC/MVVM architectures.Develop and maintain embedded software applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.Create and maintain automated tests using the Qt Squish framework.Manage and troubleshoot Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and build issues.Collaborate with QA teams to develop test cases and ensure software quality.Define software requirements and contribute to architecture and design decisions.Maintain software architecture documentation, design artifacts, testing, and validation documentation.Ensure software development activities comply with applicable regulatory and quality standards.Support quality, compliance, and regulatory audit readiness.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Qt / Qt Studio / Qt Widgets.Strong C++ and embedded software development experience.Experience developing GUI/UI applications for embedded systems.Experience with MVC and/or MVVM design patterns.Hands-on experience with Qt Squish or similar UI automation frameworks.Strong experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.Experience troubleshooting software builds and CI/CD issues.Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably medical devices.Strong understanding of software testing, validation, documentation, and quality processes.Regulatory & Compliance Experience Experience with one or more of the following is highly preferred: IEC 62304IEC 60601ISO 14971FDA regulationsEU MDR
