Our AI & Engineering team helps organizations modernize technology platforms, accelerate innovation, and solve complex business and mission challenges. In this role, you will help design and deliver secure, AI-enabled applications that support a US Government Client operating in a classified environment. You will work across the full stack to build scalable tools, dashboards, and application programming interfaces that improve operational effectiveness, strengthen security, and support mission outcomes. Work you'll do As a Software Engineer III on the AI & Engineering team, you will be responsible for... Design, build, and enhance full-stack web applications, including front-end interfaces, back-end application programming interfaces, and supporting data structures.Own assigned features across the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, development, testing, security hardening, and deployment documentation.Develop applications using Python, .NET, HTML/CSS, and other web technologies in alignment with program security requirements and user experience needs.Integrate artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities into applications, including intelligent search, large language model-powered features, and workflow automation.Support code reviews, test coverage, documentation, and ongoing maintenance to improve application quality, security, and long-term usability. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree4+ years of experience in application development, test-driven development, and the software development life cycle4+ years of experience in Python4+ years of experience in user interface designActive TS/SCI with polygraph clearanceAbility to travel 10-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. This compensation range is specific to Maryland and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $119,000 to $198,400. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
