The role:
My client, an elite Trading firm are seeking a very Senior HPC Engineer to join their team in New York.
There is also an option for this position to be based out of Chicago.
You will have the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues, navigating alerts, and working with various internal teams.
Strong Engineering experience is essential, managing projects end to end, and you will have proficiency in Python.
Responsibilities:
Ownership of monitoring and performance across the extensive HPC estateWorking with schedulers such as SlurmOptimising workload efficiency across Infrastructure, Networks and StorageBuilding highly complex HPC solutions to serve Traders and Quants
Skills required:
Extensive experience of working on HPC systemsStrong Linux experienceKnowledge of Storage systems such as Spectrum Scale, Weka, Vast, DDN etc.Knowledge of Lustre / GPFSKnowledge of low latency technologies such as InfinibandConfiguration Management experience using tools such as Ansible, Salt, Terraform and xCATStrong experience working in bare metal environmentsProficiency in Python for automation
