About the Opportunity The Data Engineer leads the migration and transformation of legacy data systems into structured, cloud-based, analytics-ready environments. This role is responsible for enabling reliable data integration, improving data quality, and supporting enterprise platform modernization initiatives. The position also helps transform document-heavy workflows into digital processes that enhance reporting, data accessibility, and operational capabilities. Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end data migration from legacy systems to cloud platforms, with a focus on Salesforce data. • Convert unstructured and document-heavy information into structured formats using Document AI. • Implement data quality processes, including cleansing, deduplication, validation, and reconciliation. • Support phased data migration and system cutover activities while minimizing operational disruption. • Design and maintain MuleSoft integrations and develop APIs for real-time and batch data exchange. • Apply data transformation logic and troubleshoot integration issues. • Contribute to Salesforce Data 360 implementation, including data harmonization and identity resolution. • Manage data ingestion, lineage, metadata, traceability, and related documentation. • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with Agile teams and support testing, documentation, audit readiness, and deployment activities. Requirements • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance. • Residence in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years. • Minimum 6 years of experience in data engineering, data migration, or data integration. • Proven experience with large-scale data migrations and Salesforce data management. • At least 2 years of experience implementing data quality and validation processes during migrations. • Preferred: Current or recent Public Trust or Secret clearance. • Preferred: Experience supporting federal agencies. • Preferred: Experience with Informatica, MuleSoft, SQL, Salesforce Data 360, and Document AI. • Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS platforms, metadata management, Agile delivery, and regulatory compliance.
