Our client is a prestigious hedge fund seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join their world-class platform engineering function.
This Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting the critical technology infrastructure that underpins a highly successful investment business operating across global offices, datacentres, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain critical Linux-based infrastructure across global datacentres, cloud environments, and office locations.Drive improvements in platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.Contribute to the architecture, implementation, and integration of core infrastructure systems.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, operating system, and network-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing lasting solutions.Enhance infrastructure automation and reduce operational overhead through engineering-led improvements.Partner with security, infrastructure, and development teams on strategic technology initiatives.Support and evolve key platform services that underpin business-critical operations.Strengthen the firm's infrastructure security framework through best-practice design and implementation.Contribute to deployment automation, build systems, and CI/CD capabilities across the technology estate.
Key Skills & Experience
8+ years' experience supporting and engineering large-scale Linux infrastructure environments.Strong Python development and automation expertise.Deep understanding of Linux operating systems, system internals, and configuration management tools.Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities across both host and network layers.Experience with automated build systems, software deployment frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong knowledge of infrastructure security principles and operational best practices.Solid understanding of network protocols and enterprise infrastructure services.Experience supporting DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, or similar core infrastructure technologies.Exposure to cloud platforms, large-scale storage environments, databases, and Windows/Linux integration.Knowledge of Rust, Go, Java, C, or C# would be advantageous.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills within globally distributed teams.Degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline preferred.
