What You’ll Do: A Day in the Life of a Senior Staff DevOps & Cloud Engineer This is a senior, hands-on technology leadership role with ownership of the DevOps Engineering architecture and modernization blueprint across Gerber Life. You'll provide technical leadership and direction to a team of 3–4 DevOps and Cloud Engineers while driving the evolution of our CI/CD capabilities, containerization strategy and cloud architecture. We're looking for someone who can set the technical vision while remaining close to the technology—designing, scripting, developing and solving complex engineering challenges alongside the team. What You'll Lead Own and continuously evolve enterprise DevOps Engineering architectureLead and develop a team of DevOps and Cloud EngineersDesign and expand on-premise and cloud CI/CD pipelinesDrive strategies across source control, build and branching, artifact management, code scanning, automated testing and deploymentLead containerization, orchestration and cloud migration initiativesAdvance the transition toward serverless cloud architectureProvide hands-on technical direction across discovery, design, scripting and developmentImprove software delivery velocity through automation and continuous improvementManage product and sprint backlogs supporting DevOps and cloud roadmapsRecruit, coach and develop technical talentPartner across technology and business teams to deliver scalable solutionsMaintain strong data security, architectural and regulatory standards Technology Environment DevOps & CI/CD: Git, Maven, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube, HP Fortify on Demand, JIRA Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes Cloud: Azure, Google Cloud, AWS Testing: Cypress, Jasmine, Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, JUnit Development: Java, Spring, Angular, HTML, CSS, jQuery, AJAX Platforms: WebSphere, Jetty, NGINX Observability: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash Your Qualifications, Skills and Experience Extensive experience providing technical leadership within DevOps and Cloud EngineeringSignificant experience leading DevOps/Cloud engineers in an Agile/Scrum environmentDeep expertise in CI/CD architecture, automation, containerization and cloud technologiesExperience developing and executing cloud migration and modernization strategiesAbility to simplify large-scale technical needs while considering total cost of ownershipStrong agile mindset with a passion for innovation, automation and continuous improvementAbility to operate as both an autonomous technical leader and collaborative team playerBachelor's degree with relevant technical training, certifications or extensive applicable experience required; Master's degree in Computer Science preferred If you're a hands-on DevOps and Cloud Engineering leader who wants to influence enterprise architecture while accelerating how technology reaches the business, we'd like to hear from you.
