Senior Real-Time Systems / WebView Engineer

Company: YChat Type: Part-Time / Contract / Consulting Location: Onsite / Hybrid / Remote About the Role YChat is building a real-time collaborative Hangout platform where people can browse websites, watch content, draw, share files and do activities together inside a persistent shared room. We are looking for a senior engineer on a part-time or consulting basis to review and help improve specific technical areas of our existing product. This is not a greenfield project. We already have a working product and development team. The role is primarily to bring additional expertise and an independent technical perspective to complex real-time synchronization challenges. Key Challenges Improve state-synchronized co-browsing across arbitrary embedded WebViewsHandle different website scrolling models, including nested and custom scroll containersKeep navigation and page state synchronized across participantsImprove real-time state reconciliation and event consistencyImplement reliable content-anchored highlighting and annotations instead of screen-coordinate positioningEnable room voice communication to work simultaneously with video and music playback What We're Looking For Strong experience in some or all of the following: Real-time synchronization and collaborative systemsWebRTC and real-time communicationWebView architecture and browser/DOM behaviorDistributed state synchronizationMobile WebViews and embedded co-browsingAudio pipelines and media playbackFlutter, iOS or Android developmentExperience building collaborative browsers, shared WebViews, multiplayer applications, collaborative editors, remote assistance tools or similar products would be highly relevant.
