WordPress Website Developer and Content Specialist

WEROCK Technologies GmbH is a German manufacturer of rugged computers, industrial tablets, panel PCs and data-capture solutions for demanding professional environments. We are now building our Taiwan branch office and are looking for a versatile WordPress Website Specialist to join our new team in New Taipei City. This role is based in Taiwan, but its scope is international from day one. You will take hands-on responsibility for our company website across WordPress development, website content, web design and graphic design. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable working with code, maintaining product and website content, and creating professional visual assets. Your first project will be to complete and launch our new multilingual WordPress website. The technical environment, migrated content, initial layouts and several custom plugins already somewhat exist. You will complete the remaining development work, improve and maintain the content, create the required visual assets and continue developing the website in the long term. You will report to the Marketing Manager in Taiwan and work closely with WEROCK Technologies GmbH in Germany. Tasks Complete, maintain and continuously develop our German and English WordPress website Develop, review, debug and maintain custom WordPress plugins, functions and integrations Complete and further develop FluentCart functions, B2B pricing, the partner portal and API or webhook integrations Work with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, WordPress hooks and existing custom code Build and improve responsive pages and reusable website components using WordPress, Kadence and Gutenberg Create and maintain product pages, category pages, landing pages, industry pages and other website content Structure and publish provided texts, technical specifications, images, downloads, links and forms Maintain multilingual website content and ensure that information is complete, accurate and consistently presented Create and adapt page layouts, product graphics, banners, image compositions, icons and simple infographics Edit, retouch, crop and optimize product images for website and digital-marketing use Improve visual consistency, usability, performance, SEO and accessibility Test new functions and pages across devices and browsers and document important technical processes German language skills are not required. German texts will generally be provided by our team in Germany, but you must be able to maintain, structure and publish them accurately. Requirements Practical experience developing and maintaining professional WordPress websites Good working knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript Experience with WordPress plugins, themes, hooks, filters and content structures Experience understanding, modifying and debugging existing WordPress code Basic experience with REST APIs, webhooks, databases, Git and GitHub Ability to review, test and take responsibility for AI-generated code Experience independently creating and maintaining complete website pages Experience working with detailed product information, images, downloads and website content Good understanding of responsive design, typography, spacing and visual hierarchy Practical graphic-design and image-editing skills Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity, Figma or comparable design tools Ability to create professional website graphics from product images, existing assets and rough briefs Independent, structured and accurate working style Good written and spoken English Experience with Kadence, Gutenberg, FluentCart, WooCommerce, Polylang, B2B websites, technical products, SEO or accessibility is an advantage. Formal qualifications and a specific number of years of experience are less important to us than your practical abilities, portfolio and quality of work.
