Platform Engineer
Location: Downtown Vancouver, BC (Onsite, Relocation Assistance Available)
Salary: $120,000 - $145,000 CAD + Benefits

We're seeking a Platform Engineer to help build and maintain the Linux based software platform that powers advanced robotic systems.
This role focuses on Linux infrastructure, system provisioning, deployment automation, and hardware integration.
You'll work closely with robotics, software, and hardware teams to ensure systems can be reliably configured, deployed, updated, and supported in customer environments.
Responsibilities
Develop embedded systems software in C++ and PythonBuild and maintain Ubuntu-based Linux systems used across robotic platformsDevelop automated provisioning, imaging, and configuration workflows for deployed systemsCreate tools and processes to manage software installation, updates, and lifecycle managementSupport containerized applications using DockerCollaborate with teams on system integration, hardware bring-up, and deployment activitiesTroubleshoot Linux, networking, hardware, and deployment-related issues
Qualifications
3-6 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, or a related fieldStrong experience administering Ubuntu or other Linux distributionsExperience with Linux provisioning and automation technologies such as cloud-init, Ubuntu Autoinstall, system imaging, or similar toolsProficiency in C++ and Python for embedded systems developmentExperience troubleshooting Linux systems, networking, and hardware-related issuesExperience with hardware integration, hardware bring-up, or deployment of software onto physical devicesStrong debugging and problem-solving skills
